Mats

Watercolors are recommended to be double or even triple-matted. This visually frames the artwork and draws the viewer's eye into the nuances of a watercolor.

It is common to leave only 1/8" or 1/4" of the inner mat visible when using more than one mat. The outer mat is often wider than the frame.

We often choose a darker color for the inner mat. This can be a color to bring out your favorite part of the artwork.

The outer mat bridges the frame and the matted art. I like to pick a lighter, creamy color that is compatible with the frame I've chosen.

Frame

You can frame your print at any size.

However, you can purchase pre-assembled frames for considerably less. ($30 vs. $100)
Standard frame sizes to consider are: 8"x10", 11"x14", and 16"x20".

I've designed most of my art with a standard frame size in mind.

Placement

Your print (or original) will be happiest placed out of direct sunlight.
